Film Stars Cinema Room Mural

Recently I worked up in beautiful Yorkshire , transforming a plain white attic room into a cosy but dramatic cinema room for all the family to enjoy - my client specifically chose some film characters that each had a meaning to family members - included in the mural was ET flying on the bike across the moon, Batman, Mary Poppins and then a full skyline with the Statue of Liberty.

London City Skyline Mural

This week I worked on a project up in Bolton - painting a 10m long London City skyline.  The tricky bit with this mural was to make sure that all the buildings were in proportion to each other across such a large wall area - so I used large lengths of string to mark out a grid across the wall first of all and that worked really well.

Pretty Flower Fairy Hand Painted Wall Mural

I have to say I do love painting little fairies and flowers, because they are soooo cute and I can use lots of my glittering fairy dust paint as well - and also on this mural I also added diamonds to each of the little fairies crowns.

Wisteria Insect Feature Wall Mural

I had a fantastic time over in Derbyshire lately, painting in a beautiful converted farm house. My client had a passion for the shape and form of insects - and wanted a wow mural for her stunning master bedroom - so I created a design of deep pink wisteria which gave the back drop to 9 metallic beetles.

Japanese Koi Carp Mural

I have been down in Surrey recently , painting with a goat hair brush to create an authentic mural of Japanese Koi Carp on the ceiling of a 16th century house.

Thomas The Tank Engine Hand Painted Wall Mural

This week I have been working in Northampton painting a Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends mural - well I have been painting murals for over 10 years - and this was the first time I have painted Thomas The Tank Engine - and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This mural was for a little boy called Blake and it was in his bedroom at his grandparents house - how kind I thought they were to do that for him.  I have shown below three photos - Day 1, Day 2 and the final completed mural on Day 3.

African Sunset Hand Painted Wall Mural

This is the last of the murals that I painted for the care home in Leicester - and it was for one of the relaxation lounges - this is one of my favourite murals that I have painted to date - just because of the warmth of the colours and the peaceful feel of the animals.

Orchard View Care Home, Leicester - Complete Care home Mural Scheme

I have spent the last few weeks working in a care home that is being completely refurbished by the current owners.  The owners aim is to create a calming, welcoming, warm feel to the care home. The residents will be aged between 18 and 65 and will mainly have learning and physical difficulties - and the care home is being design with this in mind. The owners came to me firstly with the intention of just having a mural for there entrance - then once we got talking and I began to give them ideas on what they could have along there very long boring corridors and also suggested designs for there lounge areas - they then asked me to draw up a full scheme, which I did - and because my designs fitted their brief and budget set - they ordered the project.

So I will be posting the photos of the work I have done as I go along.  Below is the entrance palm and bamboo mural, and also below is a very tranquil blossom tree I did for one of their residents lounges. More images will follow soon.

Mr Hendrix and Friends Hand Painted Nursery Mural

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and painting for the author of the award winning children's books - Mr Hendrix and Friends. I translated the gorgeous book illustrations of Mr Hendrix and his friends into a mural scheme for her nursery, it was also brilliant to actually meet Mr Hendrix in person.

Pink Cherry Blossom Hand Painted Wall Mural

I really enjoy painting trees, they are a very fluid design to create, and so pleasing to the eye - there is something very peaceful about this style of blossom tree. I painted this blossom tree up in Manchester - for a little girls bedroom - and I also added a height chart to the trunk of the tree. I have posted a photo below of the the tree before I added the flowers and birds.

Marvel Super Hero Wall Mural, Spiderman, Superman, Batman, and Captain America

I was asked by a client who I have painted three murals for previously to create a mural for her sons room. Her son was really into the Marvel Super hero's so I designed a simple city skyline back drop for the characters - and then designed the characters to fit the wall space - the high ceiling gave the perfect opportunity for Spiderman to be flying down from on his web!

Park Springs Care Home Dementia Ward Murals

Park Springs Care Home Dementia Ward Murals

Starting a mural project this large can be daunting - but I just start it bit by bit -so this week I am up in Motherwell, Scotland painting in a Care Home - transforming their Dementia ward from magnolia walls to a walk down a vintage street - once I am finished it will have a old fashioned pub, ice cream shop, vintage hairdresser, sweet shop, bakery, co op and flower shop - I think this will certainly be an improvement! and I am really hoping it will bring back happy memories for the residents as they potter down the corridor.

Primary School Hand Painted History Timeline Mural

This week I have been working in Liverpool - in quite a large stairwell - that up until this week was just a very boring space - but perfect for a mural! The main goal for this mural was to visually communicate to the children the timeline of all the main events in History from the very beginning.  I worked with the History teacher, and put together a design scheme that covered all the stages that needed to be included.
